4 Hair-Care Hacks for Summer!

Growing healthy hair seems to be growing in intricacy, akin to skincare and like skincare, you can’t cheat the process without regretting it later. It’s been a long year and we want your hair to not be another thing on your list so we have compiled a list of 4 hacks for summer that won’t leave you drowning in regret.

  1. Use conditioner first

This is one of the simplest hair hacks: swap the order of your shampoo and conditioner. Starting with conditioner helps remove excess oil that can weigh your hair down. Doing this will help leave your hair soft, clean and voluminous.

  1. Wash your hair upside down

We know this sounds crazy but instead of getting into the shower and soaking your hair with shampoo right away, start by massaging the shampoo at the nape of your neck and working upwards, underneath your hair and around your scalp. This helps cleanse your hair faster and in a more controlled fashion.

  1. Sleep on silk

Sleeping on silk on not only one hell of a pro-tip, it’s also a sweet, little everyday luxury you get to enjoy. If you don’t want to wrap your head at night, sleeping on silk will help eliminate the friction that causes breakage during your tosses and turns. Silk is smooth enough to treat both your skin and hair kindly.

  1. Use a clarifying shampoo once a week

Heat. Sweat. Products. If this doesn’t scream product build-up to you, nothing will. Now that it's hot outside, we need to make sure we are clearing product build-up at the roots. That's why it's essential to use a clarifying shampoo in place of your regular shampoo, at least once a week. MPL’s Charcoal Purifying Shampoo gently cleanses hair leaving both it and your scalp feeling fresh and clean.

Summer is the best time to enjoy everything and we want your hair to not be an exclusion! Try out our hacks and let us know which one is your favourite!

To happy hair days.
